ACCESSIBILITY

With wide pathways and ramps, the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk is an accessible national park attraction.

 

SITE ACCESS

The car park has ACROD designated parking bays and sealed paths with gradients up to 1:14. The unisex accessible toilets, ticket office, gift shop and Discovery Centre are located 50m from the parking area. A bitumen path leads from the parking area to all facilities. The path is wide and slopes gently down to the ticket office.

 

MOBILITY EQUIPMENT

Complimentary wheelchairs and strollers are available.

 

TREE TOP WALK

The Tree Top Walk is a 600m long walkway that reaches up to 40m high into the forest canopy. The elevated walkway spans are made from metal grids. The elevated part of the walkway consists of six 80cm wide and 60 m long ramps that have a gradient of approximately 1:12 with handrails on both sides. Between each ramp is a viewing platform with views over the surrounding tingle forest. The Tree Top Walk is suitable for all abilities.

 

ANCIENT EMPIRE

 

The Ancient Empire trail below is made of boardwalks and sealed paths. The main 500m loop of this trail is suitable for all abilities. A further 150m of the trail has some steps.
